Why People Fail at the Edge of Their Breakthroughs

One of the greatest tragedies of life is to give up over a battle when victory is just a breath away and there are many believers at this junction in spiritual warfare. What a great tragedy!
.
The devil, once he discovers that he couldn't stop you from praying your way to breakthrough, he'll wait till the time your victory is just around the corner and he'd hurl at you, his great weapon to devour (destroy) you.
.
Why do people fail at their edge of breakthrough? Because the devil hurls the following at them:
.
1. Distractions. The devil, at times as an angel of light comes with the appearance of your answered prayers or as an avenue to distract you from laying hold onto your real victory.
.
Do you know that Jesus was almost distracted from fulfilling His assignment? Peter told him that He would not die, thank God He rebuked Satan immediately. At a point, they sought to make Him king but He stood the cause He came for. Can you compare an earthly king with being the King of kings?
.
Are you sensitive enough to see distractions looming around you? The brother or sister that is 'chasing' you with the appearance of Mr. or Mrs. Right may not be from God. Be sober and vigilant!
.
2. Discouragement. It is an oldest weapon of the devil to keep people away from reaching their place of victory.
.
He comes to tell you that you have prayed, fasted, sowed seeds, praised and danced enough but nothing is forthcoming; why not give up? "Don't kill yourself, see you're growing lean because of your fasting and prayers"; "Have you seen the reward of the last seed you sowed?", "Upon living a holy life, unbelievers around you are still getting married, what's the point of being sexually pure?"

Don't listen to his voice because he's the father of lies. Let your faith soar high in persistence and desperation. Don't give up! Don't be discouraged! Pray more. Fast as instructed. Praise more. Be spiritually violent.
.
Be like Esther that says, "If I perish, I perish". Also, have the primitive faith of the three Jewish boys that told the king, "If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king".
.
Don't bow to discouragement no matter where it comes from but encourage yourself in the Lord as David did.
.
3. Doubt. The greatest enemy of your walk with God is doubt and the devil uses this a lot to keep people from reaching their breakthroughs.
.
If you come to God and you don't believe that He is (able), you'll be defeated. Doubt says, "Will God do it, can God do it, how will God do it, when will He do it?"
.
If you do not build your faith in God till you're fully persuaded that He's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think, your victory won't come.
.
Remember, you just have seven days to the new year. Have you allowed distractions, discouragement or doubts to keep you away from pressing deep into your victory? Only the spiritually violent takes what belongs to them by force. And never joke with a man that's desperate because he's going to achieve his desire even though he's mocked or discouraged.

Your victory is near, a little push will get you the victory, don't give up!
